CARMEN DE LA CRUZ “BRIDALADA”: HER ELOPEMENT IN POSITANO

CARMEN DE LA CRUZ “BRIDALADA”: HER ELOPEMENT IN POSITANO

The elopement of Carmen De la Cruz, known as “Bridalada,” and Carlos Preckler, the love of her life, in beautiful Positano.

On October 12th, Carmen and Carlos said their “I do” in the most intimate way—with a magical elopement in Positano. Because love doesn’t care about dates, venues, or guest counts. When the time is right, it’s simply about the two of you. And for Carmen and Carlos, the grand celebration we began planning back in 2019 no longer felt necessary.

When we at Weddings With Love first started working with them, their priorities were very different. But the world—and their lives—have changed. What they needed most at that moment was to be alone, just the two of them, and promise forever in a place as magical as the Amalfi Coast.

They chose a setting straight out of an Italian painting, one they had always dreamed of—so much so that even Pablo Picasso once captured its beauty: the idyllic village of Positano.

Carmen and Carlos opened their hearts in the gardens of a villa in Ravello, where they exchanged vows. They later celebrated their intimate dinner at La Sponda, the Michelin-starred restaurant of Neapolitan chef Gennaro Russo, located in the iconic Hotel Le Sirenuse.

Bridalada’s Elopement

Carmen looked absolutely stunning. We’ve seen her in bridal looks many times, but this one was different—it was real. And she was more radiant than ever. She glowed. Sometimes, the only secret to looking beautiful is being truly happy—and believe us, they were. We had never seen them shine so brightly.

Eloping is always an option. But in the fast-paced world we live in, the norm is often a big party. Still, what feels “normal” to some might feel unthinkable to others.

Carmen and Carlos exchanged beautiful vows—words we’ll keep private for their intimacy. Their elopement was filled with moments and emotions that will stay with them forever. A unique union, and a beautiful family with their little son, Carlos.

The Couple’s Looks

Carlos looked incredibly handsome in a tailored three-piece suit by Scalpers Company.

Carmen collaborated with Victoria Colección to create two custom bridal gowns, both of which reflected her style to perfection.

Her first dress, worn for the garden ceremony, was crafted in triacetate, with a bateau neckline, long sleeves, and structured shoulders. It had a straight silhouette in the front and a deep scoop back that revealed just the right amount of skin. Along the neckline, Carmen added delicate beaded fringe made of crystals and pearls, which beautifully framed both the front and the back.

For dinner, she changed into a second gown accompanied by a detachable cape. The dress was made of georgette, with a high neckline and sleeveless cut. It featured a geometric opening in the front that revealed a subtle hint of skin, a perfectly fitted waist, and a draped tulip-style skirt. The cape, also in georgette, covered her shoulders and flowed down her back. The gown had soft draping on both the front and back, with a central slit secured by tiny loops at the waist. Truly a masterpiece!

Carmen wore Yves Saint Laurent sandals and earrings by Maison Valentino. Their wedding bands were custom-designed by We Are Candelaria, and the entire paper suite was created by Loveratory.

The incredible photography was done by Mel and Luis from Doncel y Alcoba. Without a doubt, they were the perfect team to capture this elopement in Italy. Honestly, we can’t pick a favorite shot—they’re all breathtaking.

Carmen, Carlos, Carlete… we wish you a lifetime of happiness. We love you, familia. You are simply amazing.
